Top Dining Apps on iOS in the UK: Q4 2024 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the dining and restaurant app scene in the UK saw some intriguing trends. Here's a breakdown of the performance of the top five apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Greggs App - Food & Drink experienced a varied trend in weekly downloads. Starting with around 42.5K downloads at the beginning of the quarter, it saw a peak of approximately 45.1K in mid-November before declining towards the year's end. Active users also fluctuated, reaching a high of over 1M in early December before descending to about 772K by late December.

McDonald’s U.K. maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads peaking at about 58.6K at the start of the quarter. However, there was a noticeable dip to around 24.9K by late December. Despite this, active users remained relatively stable, peaking at approximately 2.6M in mid-October before dipping slightly to around 2.3M by the end of December.

The wagamama soul club rewards app saw a significant increase in downloads, starting from about 15.6K and climbing steadily to a peak of around 40.4K in mid-December. Active users followed a similar upward trend, closing the quarter at approximately 77.8K.

Subway - UK & I had a steady performance with downloads ranging between 13.5K and 36.5K. Active users peaked at about 357K in late November before dropping to around 220K by the end of December.

Finally, Domino's Pizza Delivery UK&ROI saw a varied download pattern, peaking at 31K initially and ending the quarter with 24K. Active users showed resilience, peaking at 615K in the last week of December.
